Do I need to routinely backup my Homestead Sitebuilder websites or does Homestead do that nightly?

I've had absolutely no problems with my long-standing Homestead Sitebuilder websites.  But recently I've known of other websites (using free WordPress software for example on free DreamHost hosting for example) that were hacked and the host says it can't recover those sites.
That simply makes me wonder if I'm supposed to do any backups for my Homestead websites, or does Homestead do that nightly, weekly, monthly, etc.

And if I switch to using Homestead's Website Builder rather than trusty old Homestead Sitebuilder, would there be any greater concern about hacking or does Homestead back up those also.

Sorry for my ignorance.   Many thanks!

Homestead's Website Builder sites are stored on servers here and are backed up, but it does not give customers an option to back up the website themselves.

Thank you, Todd H.
My question continues ...

Should I do something (and what, and how) to back up my older Sitebuilder website files?

And if I decide to rebuild my older Sitebuilder website into the newer Website Builder, should I (and what and how) back up that website?

I simply do not know how to back up any website made with any Homestead software.

Nor do I know how often and how far back a Homestead website is backed up, and how often, in case I ever needed a backup?

Thank you for your expertise.

Your local Sitebuilder Desktop site files are located inside of C:\ProgramData\Homestead, you can back these up if you want by copying the files and saving them, but only the image files would be able to uploaded into Website Builder since they are two different builders. Homestead's recovery point only goes back to the previous weekend, so anything deleted beyond more than week is most likely not recoverable.
