I had posted previously, and have some new info. My old post:
I read my emails in Yahoo Mail, and I my emails from Homestead are forwarded to Yahoo. Most of the time it's fine, but sometimes there's a huge delay before I receive the email in Yahoo. They do eventually show up, so it's not a problem that's it's going to spam. Is there any way to resolve this issue? As I use this email for my home-business, it's impacting my work.

Update:
I've been in contact with Yahoo, trying to figure out where the problem lies. After much investigation, they said :
Our engineering team looked into this and it turns out the delay was caused by a third-party program/server: bosmailout03.eigbox.net (66.96.184.3). If your emails are being routed through another program or server, this may be causing the delays.

What is this third party server, and is there any way to avoid it?

This is not a 3rd party server. This is your server and I have never seen our server delay a forward. Can you specify an email in your inbox that was delayed reaching Yahoo.

I have seen Yahoo defer messages from us before. The biggest problem is that many servers see forwards as spam and quite a few are doing away with forwarding altogether. I will look into the message once you provide me with one that was delayed.

I'm not sure how to show you which email, but this email from my roundcube inbox was sent shortly before a meeting at 2:23. I did not receive it in my Yahoo mailbox till 4:09.

We are going to check the logs to see if we can see what happened.

Shirley2900, So, it was our server that delayed the forward, unfortunately it can't be helped. Yahoo has very strict rate limiting set up on their servers. This means they only accept a certain number of emails per hour from any given server. If we exceed their limit, they will delay or block additional messages from the server. To avoid this we have set up a specific system for messages to Yahoo. We set an outbound rate limit to make sure we do not exceed their limit. This will result in some delays if our outbound servers reach the rate limit. The delay is necessary in these cases as it keeps Yahoo from actually blacklisting us and stopping all email from us to their servers for a period of time.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask.
