Hi Gayle -

Thanks for writing in!

Unfortunately, creating anchor links with your navigation menu has been removed. I'm sorry about that! This is great feedback though, so I'll change this topic into an idea so other users can vote on it as well.

Thanks,
Aubrey

Yes, Unfortunately YOU CAN DO IT >AUBREY T ANSWER IS WRONG////////

EDIT MODE > SELECT THE OBJECT > SELECT LINK BUTTON> SELECT THE RADIO BUTTON> SELECT NEW ANCHOR. LOOK FOR THE ANCHOR ON THE UPPER LEFT THATS WHERE IT WILL PASTE IT. THEN DRAG IT WHERE YOU WANT IT ON YOUR PAGE. THEN SELECT YOUR OBJECT WHERE YOU JUST PASTED YOUR ANCHOR AND SELECT THE RADIO BUTTON CHOOSE TOP OF PAGE ANCHOR.

Yes, Unfortunately, By upgrading to get html 5 this what we get. sure could use an anchor link about now, oh well surprise, surprise, surprise.

I was not told myself about it just told if I did not like the changes I could switch back to the old site builder.

PS
I really do hope you guys give us long term designers a little more to work with and not raise the rates!

Actually Aubrey's answer is correct. The original question had to do with creating anchor links from the Navigation menu. Rodney's method will work if you are trying to create an anchor link from any other element, (text box, image, button, etc.). That function is still available.

The anchor link option was removed from the navigation menu because of the upgrade with the new master templates. If your site has a navigation menu inserted into the master template which is the normal way, then anchor links would take you to the wrong area on other pages.

This thread shows a work-around: https://community.homestead.com/homes...

When you are editing links on the navigation element, you'll get the following window. Notice there is not an option for an anchor link like in the 2nd picture below.

What you can do is create your own navigation links by using buttons or text boxes instead of the navigation element. Then you'll be able to create anchor links and you'll see the option like in this picture.

I hope this help everyone!

Mike
