Homestead support personnel, you need to take this issue seriously.  While my site smyrnaoptimist.org does not generate millions of dollars and is not as critical as many other websites mentioned in these posts I need to make updates like everyone else and if you cannot get this issue resolved ASAP I will be forced to look for alternatives to host my site.  PLEASE fix the problem!

Whew, it's not just me then. It has been 4 days and I cannot access my site to edit.

I have not been able to edit my site for 4 days either. It's frustrating when your sole income is dependent on your website.

What is the problem you are each having? The cause of this issue was resolved Wednesday night, and the servers are not logging the errors any longer. Some site may need to sync their files again, but we need to know what problem you have.

Audrey1969,

It loaded for me. Please log out of Homestead and clear the browser history, then log in again. If you are prompted to sync files, you will need to sync each file. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Asking to sync downloaded copy or local copy. Then having to click for EVERY page and photo on the site, only to have it freeze up and have to start the process over again.

Hallelujah, I hope I don't have to do that every time.... I'm not logging out to find out!
Thanks

You should not have to. If you see it again, please let us know and I will make sure we get a good look at the account.

Dammit, spoke too soon. I tried to publish a page with one picture changed and saved, and it froze, tried to recover the page and brought me back to square one.

I have tried to keep the local copy when syncing files, but pictures that have nothing to do with my website, pics I've never seen in my life eventually come up.  I need to edit my site. This is costing me business.

And you think you are doing so good. Has any one heard of not providing a service that one pays for and does not get? I have had nothing but trouble with this stupid site for the last year when they first started with their "great" updates. It has been down hill ever since. And now I can't even get into the frickin site to do anything! Thanks Homestead.

Your servers are not logging errors because they DON'T WORK. Gosh, revelations. The two opts come up and want me to download ..... or click the local stuff>>>neither of which does anything. So what's the fix?

When you click on keep local, the file name in the box should change. It may ask you to sync many files. We are sorry, but if it asks to sync, it needs to be sync'd. Please try clicking on keep local. In the box, you should see a change in the file name needing syncing. If it doesn't change, tell us what the file name is.

Clicking on the local file doesn't work.  The files that eventually come up are unrelated to my website.  What is going on? my website is nataliezimmermanart.com

Anyone reading this topic:

Please log out of Homestead and clear your browsing history. Then log in and edit the site. If you are asked to sync files, unfortunately, you will need to keep the local. If you have any issues after this, please be specific about where you got stuck and what is happening.

I did sync files, I did get access to the site, however when trying to publish changes, "homestead not responding, try to recover page" then it took me right back where I started wanting to sync files again.

Nancy1895, Log out of Homestead and tell me that you have done so. Then stay logged out until I post here again. I will take a look at it.

It loaded for me just fine. You will need to clear your browser history completely before logging in to Homestead. Then try again.

Ok, it worked this time. My mouse finger thanks you! I hope it stays now. I did publish the picture, so it didn't lock up this time. :-)

I've tried clearing the browser history and it still asks me to synch files.  When I go to click on local I see my images, but then other images come up that have nothing to do with my site.  Images I've never seen before.  What is this about.  My site is nataliezimmermanart.com

I am not sure what you mean, but the only issue is that you need to sync the files. It should happen just 1 time.

I do not understand why we need to sync files. Homestead should have all of my files online. I work on my Homestead online, not on my desktop. I still cannot get access to my website to work on it. www.santaclaritarose.org

There are 2 copies of the files. One is local and one is published. This is so you can save changes without having them go immediately live when saving. The 2 copies are out of sync and must be synced. It need to be done by clicking on each file that is out of sync. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
