I'm being kicked out after only 30 seconds, 1 minute sometimes 3 minutes. Error message reads: Your session has expired. Please login again. (Error-ID: -1071546608-830289). This has been happening for more than a month on the 2 email boxes that we use frequently.

IE 11 has some issues with Webmail. Please try Firefox or Chrome.

I have done as you suggest; am writing from Chrome.  I understand that you are an employee and probably have no control over the policy decisions of Homestead, however I'm becoming increasingly dissatisfied with Homestead: the web based customer service just adds to the frustration of being kicked out of the system; seems that since IE has been around the longest, Homestead would have given that a higher priority; Site Builder has not kept pace with creation and maintenance of websites.  I came to Homestead in early 2000s when a human answered the phone at Homestead --yeah, yeah, I know those days are gone, but they are missed.  The email platform is awkward, so I have Outlook collect mine to avoid the hassle. However, one of my assistants still uses Webmail.  I appreciate your suggestion but as a long-time customer, forcing me to change my internet browser when there is no other reason to do so, just doesn't satisfy me and pushes me closer to making a change....UPDATE: in the time it took me to type this reply, Chrome kicked me out, too.

I will pass your thoughts along. I also use Outlook, but I don't really find any Web based email to be a good solution. That being said, it should not disconnect you that often. Which mail box is it that still uses webmail? I will see if I can find anything on our end. This seems to be unique to you at the moment as I have no other reports of this issue.

You can still get phone support, only during the week, but I understand what you mean. I have been with the company for quite a few years and have seen many changes.

Typically I recommend Chrome first, as it is the most commonly used browser and that is where we would place a priority, if we were to develop in that manner. Internet Explorer is rapidly losing users as it has no shortage of compatibility issues with many things. I will see if I can get this resolved for you.

Thanks.  The email with Jeanine in the name.  Before contacting support, I opened mine (pvoss) with webmail and experienced the same problem.  It happened about every 3 minutes for about 15 minutes while I was testing it out.

Does this happen all the time, or is it periodic? I was logged in to Jeannie's email for well over an hour this evening without getting kicked out.

Jeanine works 2 days per week and it has happened every time for past 6-8 weeks (approx.).  Yesterday, I signed in on my computer (we have different computers) and logged in to my email (voss) and it happened to me, too, about every 3 minutes.

When you receive the error, is there a link in the error message about details or more info? If so can you click that and copy/paste the entire message? I have been in Jeannie's email for 30 minutes without error this morning, so I am not sure what is happening, but that message may give me a more complete picture.

Ok, can you go to settings in Webmail and then Language and region tab on Options. Make sure your Time Zone matches that of the computer.

Also when testing it, do you have your Outlook up? If so, can you close it while you are in Webmail? I have found a few people that have encountered that Outlook connectiong from the same machine will wipe the webmail login. If your Outlook is set to IMAP, that could explain why it kicks out webmail.

From what you have said, this is not likely Jeannie's problem, unless perhaps your Outlook also checks her mail.

Also, do you ever log in to webmail from a different location? If so, do you have the same problem?

Hi again,  I logged into my email account on my desktop computer that has Outlook; changed the time zone and remained logged in for more than 30 minutes before getting kicked out. After I re-signed in, I was kicked out every minute or so. I did the same for Jeanine's but couldn't stay connected for more than a minute. When Jeanine logs in herself, she uses a different computer than mine and it has never had Outlook set up.  Just an FYI.

Yes, but I have weird good news. It appears to have been location driven. When I was in MoalBoal Philippines it was bad. Cewbu, bad. Back in Manila, its working fine again. Why?

The only things I can think of is the quality of the connection, or something in the network configuration.

I run and store and work on my store website off and on throughout the day. I never used to get logged out at all, but now I am logged out every single time I leave the computer and come back. It is so far beyond frustrating. I lose my place and train of thought....it used to be right in front of my face, so I knew what I was working on. Could you PLEASE make it an option to be logged out or not!!

Security rules do not allow disabling the timeout. It will timeout after 15 minutes of inactivity. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
