My domain is: www.everydaydivascelebrations.com
I have a lot of content already created in the site and I don't want to lose it.
I want to change the domain name to something else.
How do I change the domain name to something else and make sure I don't end up deleting what I created?

Hi Marianne,

Fortunately, when/if you decide to register a new domain or delete an existing domain from your account, it will have no effect on your website pages. There is no risk of losing your content. If you want to register a new domain, Here are some links to guide you.

Register new domain: https://community.homestead.com/homes...

Associate new domain with site: https://community.homestead.com/homes...

Delete old domain: https://community.homestead.com/homes...

Let us know if you need any further guidance. Thanks!

I just want to make sure I understand. If I follow the three step process of

Registering the new domain: www.mimiandsue.com
Associating www.mimiandsue.com with my website
Then deleting the old domain: www.everydaydivascelebrations.com

I will end up with the site: www.mimiandsue.com as the URL for the website that I created.

Do I have this correct?

Yes... if you proceed in that order everything will work. FYI.. if you get an error message that says you can't delete the old domain because it's the "primary" domain, just reply back and I'll fix it for you.

Thanks!

I'm not Marianne0210, but I downloaded part of her question answers. I own ttbo2012.org and ttbo2014-oc.

Bear with me, please, I've had a series of mini-strokes.

ttbo2014.com are in my domain list
Pointed it to LThroneburg.intuitwebsites.com

Now I'm stuck because I'm afraid to delete ttbo2012.org

Will you fix it please.

As of right now, there are two domains in your account.

ttbo2012.org which was registered 3/8/11
and
ttbo-oc.com which was registered today, 7/2/13

Is it your intent to delete the old one, ttbo2012.org ?
If so, there is an email address associated with it, and all emails will be lost when we delete the domain, If you wish for us to delete this domain and the email account, then please reply back with your confirmation.
