I have always had a set size for my comic strips appearing on my website. A message usually appears that "they are too large; do I want to make them fit the page" I say "OK" and they appear the size I've always had pre-determined-until now. They appear much smaller! And if I enlarge them, they lose clarity. How can this problem be corrected?

Hello,

To keep the resolution for the image, do not select to resize it. If you keep it the original size and scale the desired size it will keep the same resolution and clarity.

I'm confused. The original width is 11" of each strip, and apparently is too large an image for the web page, so a message appears saying it must be smaller, and do I want to resize it to fit. I agree, and the strips appear to properly fill the pages. This has always worked, until now. If you go to the website: www.cacklefactory.com you can see that on the first (index) page that the strip is smaller than they appear on the other pages. If I try to enlarge it, it loses all clarity. This system has always worked beautifully in the seven years since I developed the website using the tools you provided.
Are you telling me to scale the strip to the desired size to fit? I don't know what that size might be. I so want the strips to appear the size they have always appeared, along with their clarity. Can you help?

Correct, you would want to agree to resize it upon uploading then I would recommend just using the small white squares to enlarge the image. When I enlarge the images using the builder the image does not lose any clarity it stays clear when I am resizing.

Thanks, Michelle for your help with this. I have never upgraded to "Builder"- and maybe there is a problem in that regard. However, as I mentioned, I've never had this problem before in the 7 yrs. I've had the site. As it stands at present, if I agree to have the strips resized, they appear too small. And if I use the info at the right of the page to enlarge them, they lose clarity. Are you saying that I need to have them appear without resizing, and after they appear on the page, then I reduce to the desired size?

Yes that is an option. Do not resize it on uploading then scale it down after it is uploaded, it should keep the same resolution.

Sorry, Michelle, I may be having trouble communicating my problem. You say to keep the original size, even though in that state will be too large. Upon uploading won't it have to be reduced? My current problem is uploading (and agreeing to resizing)- which results in an image too small. When I enlarge using the tools at the left of the page to enlarge to match the specs of the images having the CORRECT sizes- the result is poor resolution. As I said, I've never encountered this problem before.

Always before, when uploaded and I agree to resize, the strips would automatically
come up the right size with the proper resolution. If you access my website at cacklefactory. com you'll see on the page entitled, "More" the correct sizes, and at a good resolution.

Yes, it will upload it "too large" but you can downsize it after to keep the clarity. We cannot determine the specif dimensions that it will resize to upon uploading but you can try resizing it with the position and size elements to match the correct size.
