Yes, Homestead. Please bring back chat. One of the reasons I went back to Homestead was because of the very nice, helpful chat team. Questions through the community home don't do me a lot of good because I mostly see "questions" but few "answers". So it would be welcoming to return to the excellent personal contact that was a part of the Homestead service. Thanks!

Although I am a charter member this incident is seriously causing me to consider another provider if I didn't have so much money on outside advertising linking back to my profitable domain.  I have tried to deal with the Chrome not liking the SSL Cert issue by signing up and doing the "cloud" recommended by Homestead with NO SUCCESS Homestead is NOT returning my emails (I don't do phones) Oh I miss the chat feature.  http://winthelottery.homestead.com is showing up in every browser but Google Chrome (which I use alot) I added nor changed nothing on the home page so I want homestead support to fix whatever the issues are on their end I should have to buy, sign up, or install anything just work it out on your end I am a tech and deal enough with others my own should be covered when I have been paying for years.  I hope Homestead TECH SUPPORT IS READING THIS.

this is the response from Elyzabeth . . . In regard to the site being secure, unfortunately since you are just using the .homestead.com site name, we are unable to give that HTTPS capability. You would either need to purchase a domain, which we can make secure through a company called Cloudflare, or rebuild your site in our newer builder, Website Builder, where we are able to secure the site name (.homesteadcloud.com) now my question is can it be transferred if I rebuild can the data be transferred since its still homestead I have to much work invested to rebuild for only one browser.

winthelottery.homestead.com is doing the same thing in Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Edge. It is redirecting to another site because of HTML on your page. I cannot fix this for you, as we cannot touch 3rd party HTML. If it is not coming up in your version of Chrome, my best recommendation would be to check for an update, maybe your version of Chrome is not up to date. If it is working on every browser except one, then it would make sense to look for an issue with the browser it isn't working on, it is not an issue from Homestead. If it was a Homestead issue, it would not work on every browser. If you rebuild your site in the newer builder, nothing is able to be transferred because it is a completely different system. You would need to re-upload any files or images.

What happens when you try to open Sitebuilder Plus?

In regard to the emails you aren't receiving responses to, we don't provide email support. I am not sure what address you are sending these emails to, but no one is checking them.

To the staff @ Homestead as previously mentioned I am a charter member with Homestead as well as a computer tech I write this post only to say I made a crucial MISTAKE and that was to allow myself to go to "customer service" with this issue.  With that I mean this since I have faithfully paid for my website for over a decade I thought Homestead would solve the problem.  Instead every reader of this forum has received the same response their was "code" on your site that needs to be removed.  OK the tech in me found it and removed it.  But this is not the SERVICE that I came to Homestead and loved about HOmestead.  Many readers are not techs and back in the day we didn't even enter the original "code" (some helpful back in the day they existed) customer service person from Homestead did it for us.  So I say help the Non Techs who did like and want to continue using homestead with doing or supplying the steps to remove issues vs just telling us what the issues are bc many of us can read the issues when we get error messages.
BTW 3rd party companies recommended like the cloud etc only made me (and I'm sure others) out there more furious - end PSA

Great idea !    Bring back the live chat !    We are based in Sydney, Australia and it would be extremely helpful to have a live chat facility pop up on screen instead of phone calls.    As well, the community chat is helpful and people are great but it might take four days to resolve an issue when a live chat option could provide instant resolution.  Much better.
