With the next update you will see a change to the TXT file created when a custom form is submitted from one of your web pages. When viewed from the Manage forms screen, it will appear in an HTML formatted table. This will improve the readability of the data.

If you export the file and save it to your hard drive, it is now saved in a comma separated file(CSV)

This should make it easier for you to load into a spreadsheet.

That's all well and good in principle but it is not working for me in practice. I have been trying to download some data and it is not transferring into my excel worksheet properly. Is there a new way to download? I had been copying data, pasting it into the Microsoft notepad then copying that and pasting into excel. With the new csv format, it looks like I can just copy and paste but it is not formatted like the notepad (different font, different font color, possibly other differences).

From the forms manager to export the file and save it to your computer. You can then open the file with Excel.

So is this why I am no longer getting emails from our "contact us" form? Instead I'm getting this email once a day? "You have made changes to the form located at:
http://canvasworksincmn.com/ContactUs.html

Your old form submissions for this form have been saved in ContactUs~~05112016 164733.txt. New form submissions will be sent to ContactUs~7d3f57bd.csv.
Regards,
The Homestead Team"

No, you should still receive the email. Are you not getting any from the form? If not, try removing the submit button and adding it back, then publish.

Problem though, it doesn't print properly from Outlook webmail. Now have to cut & paint which is a step backward.

Not all of the customer's writings are showing in the new box with in the email. However if I forward the email then I see the entire message they typed.

Karen5787, what website and page are you having the issue with? I recommend deleting the current Submit button you have, and adding a new one. This should hopefully resolve any issues.

Last week i created a form with submit button.  I am getting 2 emails when customers hit the submit button.

One with message "Your old form submissions for this form have been saved in Gosnell-Reconnect-Interest~~04242017 145542.csv. New form submissions will be sent to Gosnell-Reconnect-Interest~519c7ca9.csv."

The other email has the actual data from the form.

I have my submit button set to "My Email Address".  Why am I getting 2 emails?

Nicole,. try deleting the submit and adding back a new one. Then publish. You will probably get a message the first time that the form has changed. Then test it again. If you are set to email only, then you should not get the text file message.

We are receiving a ton of spam through our form submission.  Under name it is a mixture of numbers and letters.  We must get 6 or more a day.  When I tried to talk to tech support I was told to create a "Rule".  Obviously since the emails all come from no-reply@hs-support.homestead-inc.com that is impossible to do or it will not let us receive any submissions.

This started in April of this year, so not sure what has changed on your end.  Please advise.

Jeff3150, Nothing regarding forms has changed on our end. The bots probably just found your form or someone is doing it intentionally. Unfortunately, we do not have challenge phrases on the custom forms at this time. You may want to use a 3rd party form builder if this is a big problem.I will add you to the list of people that would like to see this, but it is not known if/when we will add this feature.
