My Name Is Dave – a new homeerstead custom –  I am receiving a message on your website which tells me that I have already completed my part in pointing my domain name from Go Daddy to Homestead.  It therefore seems ridiculous that I have to wait three days to begin building my website . Am I just too dumb to figure out how to use your website builder, or is there another reason for this? –  can someone wise me up a little bit in this matter?

HI Dave and welcome to the frustrating, teeth gnashing, hair pulling..... but tremendously rewarding world of website building. Don't worry about the domain name pointing just yet, no point pointing to a website that doesn't exist, yet,. You have secured your chosen domain name so that's done. Now, on to building your website. A lot of the guys and girls in here have been around for a long time and are having to learn the new Websitebuilder, as its so new in its concept, so take heart, we are all on the learning curve somewhere, so you are amongst friends. The programme is only a few months old and does have a few glitches and omissions that are being worked on by the development guys but even as it stands it is a great builder. There have been some tutorials produced along the way that will help get you started.

One benefit you have is that you are just starting to build your website and as the builder is "responsive" it automatically adjusts to be viewed on any mobile device ( Kind of ) there are a few hiccups that need ironing out, as we have learned so its good that you are just starting and can check between PC and Mobile versions as you go ( rather than some of us having to go back over every page to make the adjustments required.for the mobile version) One of the builders here "San Diego" found the easiest method that saves a lot of work, so you may want to read  his article

I wish you the best of luck, sadly customer support is not 24/7 and not around weekends and holidays but you will always find someone in here to lend a hand.... Enjoy.
