cannot connect to internet Desktop Sitebuilder

Just had to install desktop sitebuilder on to a new computer. Program starts to load and then gives a message I am not connected to the Internet, when I am.connected.  Tried disabling virus protection , no help. Just renewed my annual subscription last week too.  My memory, not so good these 70 years old, seems to recall having this problem once before and think Homestead guys did something their end to solve it. Please - nobody mention moving to that plus or online program, I tried and I do not understand a word of it, have been with the desktop version since it was invented.

Hello Ken,

Unfortunately, Homestead does not recommend downloading Sitebuilder Desktop on new devices. With technology advancing and the many updates that computers and browsers have gone through Sitebuilder Desktop, simply put, is outdated. The outdated software is causing you to see those errors because it is not compatible with what the computer is running. This is why going forward it would be recommended to use Sitebuilder Plus, the online version. However, if you insist on using that builder some of our customers were able to get the builder to run on updated devices, depending on what you computer is running on you can run the fix in these articles to get it connected.
