Cannot access my Roundcube email

I believe it started yesterday, 12/31/17, I started getting a message from my phone email client that authentication failed. I figured it was just a temporary outage so I ignored it for a while. Today, 1/1/18, I continue to get this message so I tried to log in via my computer's browser. I get a message from roundcube webmail that my login failed. Nothing has changed on my end and I have not recently changed my credentials.

I have the same problem and the answer that there's spam coming from my email address is a damn lie.  The spam being generated by Roundcube!!!!!

I am sorry, but Roundcube is just a simple Webmail program. It does not contain the capability of generating emails by itself. You may not have sent spam yourself, but somehow, someone may have obtained your credentials and used them to send.

Can you please provide me with more information about the spam issue such as when it started, how many emails were sent using my account, etc.

I am going to email you the outgoing log of the outgoing email for 12/31. There look to be a little over 12,000 messages sent, and some were sent to multiple addresses.

It would seem that Homestead/Roundcube is not very good at protecting its customer's email accounts.  I reset my account with some difficulty and some hands-on assistance from Homestead tech support, and now, I'm locked out of my account again.
