In old version of homestead there was a option to create a picture book where multiple pictures popped up one after other with different options for display such as spin in, left to right, etc can this still be done

Sorry but the desktop SiteBuilder does not have that feature either.  It has been a much requested feature for several years.  We are hoping our developers can someday integrate such a feature into the software but as of now the best way to integrate a 3rd party slideshow.  This is a topic under great discussion right now as Flash has been the preferred method of doing this over the last several years but there is now speculation that Flash may not be as search engine friendly as people wish and that new functionality with HTML5 may be a better solution.  Thanks for your post as the more request we get for this, the more likely it will be that our developers create such a function.

It is hard for me to believe a simple slide show is not possible. I see them everywhere. Why not here? I just recommended Homestead to a friend, he is a contractor and pictures of his work are his bread and butter...what is the solution and how much?

Hard to believe you folks cant whip up some generic code that applies to all that will work with minor editing.

Unfortunately it's quite a bit more complex than whipping up some code, which is why it has not been implemented. However, I agree 100 % that this feature is well past due! Do you have any suggestions for third party software to do this

Unfortunately I don't have specific ones to recommend, but you can do a Google search for "HTML slideshow with transition effects"

You should get many results. Then you can look to see which seems the best for you.

Thanks

When going to your advertising site I find the pictures doing what I want to do on my new site. Can you share how this was done or provide me the code? Is it a feature in Site builder or code?

At this time that feature is not built into Sitebuilder. It is a planned improvement for the coming year. In the short term, there are many programs out there that allow you to build it graphically and then provide the code to you.

Thanks

Drew
