Hi rachel9571,

Welcome to the Community!

You can absolutely keep your email with Intuit/Homestead, but switch your site to a new host. Once you find a new provider, make sure you get the A Records and CNAME records from that host. Back in your Homestead account, click Domain in the left navigation menu and you can update your DNS setings to their records. However, don't touch the MX records as that is what controls your email.

Hope that helps!

Chris

How long does this take? Support did this for me 5 days ago. He told me a few hours and it still isn't working.

Hi Rosemary,

Sorry for the frustrations. It typically takes less than 24 hours to update so there is definitely an issue. When taking a look at your domain, I do see that the A Record was updated, but the CNAME records are still intuitwebsites. Could you please respond with the CNAME records and I'll get them updated ASAP.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Jeffrey,

You will want to edit your A Records and CNAME records in order to point your domain to a different host, but keep your email service with us. If you could please respond with the A Records and CNAME records of the other host, I'd be more than happy to update them for you. Also please let me know which domain name(s) you need updated.

Thanks,

Chris
