Homestead Websitebuilder is designed to use only 1 domain. It is possible to use more than 1 domain by following some specific steps.
1) Register or point the primary domain name to the desired site. Please confirm the primary domain is active and working before adding additional domains.
2) In order to add more domains, you must first add a new site. To do so, go to Websites manager and select Add a new site.

Name the new site something unique. The system will alert you if it is already in use.

Do not choose a design when you are returned to the Websites manager page.
3) Now you need support help. Please post your new site name here. I'll need to run a conversion for you to allow the pointing work.
4) Click on the domains tab. You may point or register the additional domains to the new site. After the additional domains have been successfully pointed or registered, you will still need to make some changes. For each domain you will need to go to the domains tab and click on Advanced DNS settings.
5) Click edit and in the A records section click the remove checkbox for the 2 indicated records. In the CNAME section, add the 2 indicated records and then hit Submit.

6) Once the DNS is updated, there is one more step. Change the www subdomain to point to the primary domain name.
7) Click on the domains tab and then click on the edit link to the right of the www subdomain.

8) Click on the radio button to the left of "Other URL" then enter the primary domain name. Finally click save and allow 30 minutes for the domain to begin working.

I have two domains and I would like them to point to the same website. I have one domain associated with the site right now, but the system keeps saying that I can't point the other domain to the same site. Is there a work around? I don't want to have to rebuild the whole thing all over again nor do I want to have to update two separate sites. One is a .com and the other is a .net. Please help!

I have 2 domains and wish to point them both to our new websitebuilder site. When I attempt to change the association, I receive the message "Domain can not be associated to the selected site. The selected site already has a domain associated to it. WebsiteBuilder supports only 1 domain association for a site at a time. Please disassociate the existing domain and try again."
Before I created my new site with websitebuilder, both of my domains were pointed to the same sitebuilder built URL. How can I get around this problem please?

one of the best features of homestead was the ability to point multiple domain names to one website, when will you guys allow this again with your new platform? its frustrating.

I built a site with one domain but registered another domain the same day and I would like to point the second domain to the first one so both domains go to the same site.

It doesn't look like you currently have the domain smokedfoodtruckcompany.com on your Homestead account. You would need to purchase that first. If you do, just follow the instructions on this post to add a new site and post the site name here. We will make it so you can point the domain.

The primary domain name works fine, all pages are accessible at www.primarydomain.com.
However, our other 3 domain names are only accessible as subdomains of homesteadcloud.com, e.g. "secondarydomain.homesteadcloud.com".
It would seem from this article that either:
A) There is additional backend configuration Homestead needs to do which would require us to post our domain names / information on this public community board which seems inappropriate
-or-
B) Perhaps an upgrade of our account type is required. It is unclear to me why we were upsold to a Gold plan so that we could have multiple secondary domains but we cannot actually use these other than as subdomains on "homsteadcloud.com".
Please clarify.

You are wanting multiple domains to be associated to one website, which cannot happen on the new builder.
It is possible to keep one domain connected to this website, and point your other domains to that domain name. If you would like to do this, let me know which domain you want to have as the primary domain, that the other two domains will point to. I will need to add an additional domain holding site on your account and do domain pointing for those.

Thanks, but not quite. I've been doing IT 25 years, I understand what subdomains are and are not. Let me try to explain and simplify.
We have a primary domain (domain1.com) and a site attached to it. It works. I can access all pages on the site simply by going to domain1.com/mypage in a browser.
We have a second domain (domain2.com and it's variants domain2.net and domain.org). We have built a separate site for these domains but cannot access the related pages by going to domain2.com/mypage. Instead we have to go to domain2.homesteadcloud.com/mypage - hence my comment that these are behaving like subdomains of your homsteadcloud.com domain which is not what we want. We want to have this domain behave as our primary domain does. We specifically upgraded to the Gold package on the assumption that supporting multiple domains means we can use them like we are using the primary domain. Is this not the case?
Finally, please clarify -- if a configuration change is needed on your end, is it truly the case that we as a customers MUST post actual domain information about our account on this public community forum? That seems, at best, inappropriate. Is there no means of directly communicating with technical support without having to disclose our account information on a public form?
Thank you.

Wondering why my new domain name isn't working yet. I have two at the moment and they both are listed in my domains.

I can add that domain as a pointing domain, but it is not pointed to Homestead via nameserver or DNS, so it will not work as it is. Do you have the information to point the domain?

Yes, using the nameservers from that article would be best, as long as you don't have email for this domain through another company. Do you?
