I am, unfortunately, using this new program Website Builder. Can I somehow switch to SiteBuilder Lite or the desktop Sitebuilder software to edit my new site? I finally got used to using those and now I am completely confused and aggravated again. Why can't I open this new site (RavenwolfDecals) in SiteBuilder?

I have text that somehow got marked as a Master Element even though it was created on another page, but it shows on every page. I have tried changing everything and I can't figure out how to get to the Master Elements editing area and your responses in the forum are ALL for SitebuilderLite which I can't seem to get to.

I have 8 or 9 websites that I have built with Homestead, but this one is taking me days to do one little thing because I keep having to go search the forum and then look for an answer and then submit my problem! I really dislike WebsiteBuilder! It is NOT intuitive at all! PLEASE tell me I can switch!

Hi Deidre,  I am a builder, like yourself and have been with Homestead since 1999 using Desktop, then Sitebuilder+ and now "Trying" to get my head around the new Websitebuilder and its not been easy.. this is because Websitebuilder is a completely different concept in building and as such it is not compatible with the previous versions. Homestead have stated that we can still edit our websites that were created in previous versions in those programmes. However, because of the new architecture in the new websitebuilder it is not possible to migrate existing websites over to the new builder... a new website would need to be recreated.

With the problem of text appearing on all pages, the master page element in sitebuilder + is the small orange page icon..this can be clicked on to turn it off....... If you are talking about text on a page of the new Websitebuilder then it could well be in the wrong section. The top part ( above the line) is the Header section, anything put in there will appear on all the pages. You can insert text in the next section down and highlight the text and then check all the options on the right pop up edit window and there is a switch that can be set to "show on all pages" or it can be turned off...

So.. you can edit older pages in the builder programme that originally created them but you cant mix and match.  If you want to build a new website, that can only be done in the new websitebuilder.

I hope this answered your questions, the tech guys should be in here in about three hours time from this post or you could try customer service 1-800-710-1998,  open Mon-Fri until 5 PM (MST).

Wish you the very best of luck.
