I know I can transfer the domain and all that. But I am wondering if I transfer the domain to a different hosting provider will all the email address in my account be lost or will they be alright?

You can transfer the domain, and you can create the same email addresses at the new host, but you would not be able to transfer any of the messages saved on the server to the new host. If the new site host can provide you DNS records, then you can point the site without disrupting email. You want A records and/or CNAMEs, not nameservers. This will keep your Homestead mail unchanged.
