I've been with Google adsense for quite a while and there's something new we're supposed to add to the root of our websites, an ads.txt file, to let advertisers know we're legit. I've been all over the web trying to understand exactly how to make one of these files, and more specifically, what goes in one, and it's still vague to me. Is anyone familiar with ads.txt who can explain it to me like they're explaining it to a 5 year old please? haha Thanks in advance.

I can tell you that to import it to the root, use the file manager and select import. Make sure to publish. Maybe someone else can answer the how to create the file and what it should have in it, but you might want to search the Google help for this.
