I've been watching my Google Analytics - Someone in Samara, Russia has been on my website every single day, every few minutes, for the last 4 years. Is there a way to block anyone in Russia from viewing my site???   One of the sources is "Reddit"

Hmm I am aware that trying to block whole countries is a minefield and not even very effective. I also have a large number of visits from countries I would not expect but being on the WWW makes me accessible to the entire planet who can access the web. I looked at this very subject earlier and can only suggest you google the subject and do your research... a lot of Companies say they can do it but the programmes would need regular updates, which the customer cannot do, so they come with a monthly management charge. Good Luck

Hi Audrey, having a website on the internet leaves your website vulnerable to all kind of visits. There is not much you can do to stop it. Look at it this way, your website is popular to someone out there.

You may be able to create a custom report that filters out the undesired countries.

Hmmm...interesting that these Russian visits are only showing up on Google Analytics, not in the stats we get from Homestead. I suspect if there is any hacking going on it is of Google not our actual sites. Perhaps this would ease some minds?

Google analytical has been hacked which means the system is meaningless as far as analyzing goes.   I have read online how this hacking will eventually downgrade your sites google listing.  Over 50% of my reported views are from Russia, I am a woodworker and doubt the Russians are interested in my work.  If I cannot get Google Analytics removed from my website, it's time to find another host!

Hi Craig9166, I have removed the Google Analytics connection to your website.
