Is it possible to add background music to a web page? I am using website builder. Thanks!

You can insert an audio file using Soundcloud. I am sorry, but this is the only option at this time.

Yeah, I tried that but you see a the 'player' on your page. I want background music without the player. Is this something that a person familiar with html5 could provide for me? Or, does WebsiteBuilder not support that.
Thanks~

Websitebuilder does support embedded HTML, and you could use it, but we don't have a file manager in Websitebuilder, so you would need to host the sound file somewhere that you can specify the URL of the sound file. That should be possible.

Could you give a little more detail on this? I'd like to play songs I wrote in the background, and offer them for sale if any one is interested. Easiest way to set this up?

The easiest way is to add the sound via soundcloud, but as stated above, the player is visible on the site. I suppose you could place another element on top of the player so it isn't visible, like a rectangle the same color as the background.
Or you can find a web space that you can upload the file to and get the URL, then add the sound via HTML code. I haven't tried it yet, but you might be able to add it to the header or footer so it works on all pages, unless you want different music or no music on the other pages.
