We are currently investigating an issue impacting customers using Outlook or other programs to access Hmail. This does not affect all customers and those who are having problems when using an email program can still use webmail. http://mail.homesteadmail.com/

We apologize for the inconvenience. We are working hard to resolve this issue quickly. We'll provide an update as soon as possible.

Important: Webmail is not currently compatible with Internet Explorer 10. You can use a previous version of Internet Explorer or another browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari.

Yes, this is the 3rd time in the last month I have been really inconvenienced. Is this going to be on ongoing problem?

We use Windows Live and had no problems until very recently. It began with slow delivery and now will not come through at all. This is for business and this is VERY unprofessional! Need this fixed now, please.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer on why this is happening or why it's happened so frequently in the last month.

I wish I had more information I could share.

I began having problems again earlier in the week after overcoming last week's issues. I use a MacBook Air and the Mac email software. I could receive but could not send emails. Had to reinstall my email address for smtp.

Hi Jim, the other topic is still open. I responded to it yesterday and today. Unfortunately, we're still trying to figure out what's going on with your mailing list. The team is actively working on it but I don't know how soon I'll be able to give you an answer. I am very sorry this is taking so long.

Yes, it has been archived. That makes it slightly less searchable but we still allow customers to read or respond within the post. I hope that helps!

Too many issues too many problems for a service that needs to be dependable. I understand the occasional issue but his has become way too frequent to be acceptable. I appreciate the posts but in this case sorry really does not cut it. It forces my hand to look for alternatives to Homestead.

The problem in Outlook is both in sending AND receiving emails for my domains: SJFromeConsulting.com and CaretinuumProgram.com.

So.....it's almost 4:00 pm PDT and Outlook still can't collect mail from Homestead. Does that mean that the tech staff at Homestead will be heading home for the weekend and leaving the system non-functional till Monday????

The System Status Blog site (status.intuitwebsites.com) states the issue was resolved but the problem still persists for me. I use Mac Mail as my e-mail client. Please continue to investigate this!

I still cannot receive or send emails from Windows Live Mail, even though on the website it says that the problem has been solved.

Still unable to send/receive emails from Outlook and iPhone. Will there be someone working over the weekend to resolve? This is completely unacceptable for this to happen so frequently and there aren't any good answers being given. I have 20-30 client sites with Homestead and I don't appreciate getting angry calls from them when they can't access their email.

My email worked briefly late yesterday, but is not working now. I echo what everyone else is saying - please let us know what is happening and fix the problem. I know it has to do with massive hacking, and I hope someone prosecutes the people who are responsible for that. in the meantime, I trust Homestead has people working over the weekend, and not just the chat staff.

I started using Homestead many years ago when real, and knowledgeable, people answered a call on the first ring. Now I wait 15 - 30 minute for service. That too is unacceptable, and poor practice if you want to keep the clients who helped the company grow.

Problem Solved!

on outlook the solution is to change the port to your incoming mail server from 110 to 995 and put a check in the box by use SSL

This will fix the problem. Follow the other instruction for outlook off thier website and just make this small change.

Thanks

I am using a MAC and imail, I am not able to connect to the server either. Any suggestions? Error Message is "The connection to the server “mail.homestead.com” on port 143 timed out."

Error shows port 143 ... I assume your using IMAP so you may need to change your port to 993 with SSL enabled.

or have you already done that?

I think Homestead owes us all at least one free month of service. This has been a very painful month. I spent the last 30 minutes searching for other web site builder services.

I am through with Homestead. I will be taking my website and email business elsewhere. Complete waste of my time dealing with these problems.

not sure Steven doesn't hurt to change the settings in iphone and see. you can always change them back. Our I phones have been working with the regular setup off their website no modifications were needed as of yet.

Changing the port for incoming mail server from 110 to 995 and putting a check in the box by use SSL worked for us as well with Windows Live Mail!! Thank you so much James3075! ^TGF

I use Apple Mail and IMAP settings and the port was defaulted to 143 - it had always worked no problem. I then suffered the same issues everyone seems to have suffered through Outlook. I tried moving port to 995 but still no joy! Anyone from Homestead monitoring this blog and can provide an update for Mac users? Beuller? Beuller?
