Still freezes up and can't save, publish or open a new page. Suddenly, out of the blue, the program has a brain fart and stops working. I need to force it to close and lose anything I've done within the last 15 minutes or so. Since there is no "Auto save" I must remember to do it myself. When I'm editing the site navigation menu and I click on the help tab In the properties editor, it says I can change the "mouse over" background color of the tab. However, there is no such option. This program seems very outdated and is missing a lot of options that other providers do have. Crashing seems to be one of the things this program does well. I can't even explain the odd anomalies that continue to happen while using this program. I'd love to be able to click the "give praise" link above but that may not happen any time soon.

Hi Carl,

Sorry about about - Are you mostly using the desktop version of sitebuilder, sitebuilder plus (online editor) or both and continues running into issues?

I've taken a look at your account and it looks like you've already done a reinstall of the desktop version per another agent's instructions, correct?

I look forward to your response, thanks!

Ehsan

Hi Ehsan,

Thanks for the reply. Yes I've done a reinstall.
I stick to the desktop version. I did try the on line "site builder plus". However, after using the online version then, I go back and start up the desktop version, not all the files matched and it (a dialog box) had me decide whether I should delete the local file, on line file or cancel? I wasn't even sure which file it meant. When I started the program today, it ran a little smoother for a short time but it didn't crash. I run a PC with a quad core processor and dual (SLI) Nvidia 1gb graphics cards and it has 8 gb of DDR3 ram. I run Adobe CS6 Production premium and I edit film with it and never have any issues and I'm sure you know what it takes to render film. So, I would tend to think that my PC is not the issue. I'm no computer guru and I do like the fact that this program can do some tasks that I have no idea how to do. However, Site builder is a somewhat, primitive program and lacks many of the latest options and functions of so many programs on the market today. I'm sure you must know of all of the other issues I've listed lately. So, if you have any advise, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Hi Carl,

Sorry for the delay - When using both editors, you will be prompted to delete the local files or download the published version.

Sitebuilder Desktop (downloaded) stores a local copy of your files on your computer. Anytime you sign in, it will check the server and if there are any differences, it will let you choose to download the published copy or keep the local files.

It's generally a good idea to delete the local copy/download published copy if you want to make sure you're not doing double the work.

We do have several posts (ideas) here in the community in regards to new features etc, we use this feedback to work with our Dev team to help make improvements.

If Sitebuilder Plus works without crashing, my recommendation would be to continue to use that.

For Sitebuilder desktop, you may want to try doing a clean installation (unless you've already done this recently).

Thanks,
Ehsan
