I don't know how long this has been going on, as the last time I remember viewing my site's homepage on the web was about 5-7 days ago, but today ALL of the photos (about 6) are missing from my homepage!!!  Just blank space where they should be.  As far as I can tell so far, it is only my homepage that has this problem.  My site is still in the old SiteBuilder, and when I checked the page in Sitebuilder, in place of all the photos is a text message that says 'Use the Properties Editor to import or select...' etc.  This is not something I did!!  Somehow the photos are absent from the page in SiteBuilder AND online.  If I add all the photos back on myself, it could affect my Google ratings b/c I have several slightly diff versions of some of the photos in Sitebuilder, originals and copies of, I have no way of knowing for sure which one were the ones I had used - and if the names of them are different, even though the photos look the same, it will affect my ratings.  What is going on?  This is awful - my homepage looks like some fly by night thing, obvious that its incomplete...please HELP!

Try reloading them. Insure you're using the proper format, png, jpg or gif.

I can reload, but for example, for the large cover photo, I have two versions of it in my Sitebuilders Photo list, b/c sometimes over the yrs, I would use a photo, then upload a slightly enhanced copy (in some subtle way) and maybe that's the one I settled on (and has been on my page) or maybe it isn't but I left them both in my Sitebuilders image list.  They essentially look the same, so I've no idea which one has been on my site.  My understanding is that if I change photos...especially maybe the big cover one, that it affects Google ratings...google won't recognize that page as well (possibly for months) if photos are deleted.  I'd rather have a Homestead tech person be able to hopefully repair the error, which may reset my page back to how it was...and if I have to republish it then, ok, but it won't affect Google recognition?  Thx for your help

I even just edited some text on 2 other pages and published...no problem...Sitebuilder working normally on those, and the photos are still there online on those pages, even after editing/publishing.

So, you're wanting Homestead to recover the old home page. Perhaps they can. If not, you'll need to rebuild the page the way you want it. Every image may not have it's own URL. Changing those images will not effect the google search performance for that page.

Thanks for the ideas.  I just started an optimization program (through Homestead) several weeks ago.  When the rep was educating me about SEO and managing my pages, she told me that removing content (she specifically mentioned even photos) does impact. She said adding is not an issue, but deleting is.  We even talked about if I redesign my site in the new Webbuilder, that even if I keep all the same wording/photos...that just the change of formating and design will be enough to impact and may lower me several pages downward in Google and take several months to recoup.  I was actually deciding whether I should go ahead and redesign now and suffer the consequences now rather than later, but hadn't decided for sure.  Will call them tomorrow in hopes they can recoup...surely they would be able to.

Build a new site using the new websitebuilder. It's the future for search engine optimization and mobile friendly programs. You can redirect searches relating to your old site to the new site. Better now than later.
