This site is not available: ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED
Who handles your domain registration? Review your account summary. If Homestead handles your domain registration, they'll be charging you a monthly fee. If it's registered with another vendor, perhaps your renewal email wasn't received. This may happen in such cases where you've changed your email address but did not inform your domain registration company.

Nothing to do with any of that.

Its the Homestead Servers are down again for "system updates":

http://status.homestead.com/

In the meantime my business cannot function and I am losing customers!

Again!

Regards

Steve

Hi - I'm in the UK and having the same problem. This is stupidity from Homestead who clearly have no consideration for international customers. This has gone down at the start of our business day - it is 10am - I have had customers contacting me via Facebook saying our website is down - and Homestead are saying there is no time for the system update being finished/ going back online. WTF. How is this acceptable in this modern age?!! It's not the early days of web. I pay a lot of money for Homestead and this level of non-service is unbelieveable, even from Homestead, whose customer service for international customers is a nightmare to be avoided at the best of times... I would love an answer but I doubt we'll get one.

Hey, the works got to be done. All Hosting companies need down time to upgrade.

Here's a crazy idea - what about international customers - you know for that part of the world that isn't based in the States - might have an upgrade that DOESN'T coincide with the start of the business day and no way of contacting anyone as the help desk is closed (!!!!!!! even taxi companies are 24 hours!!!!!!) and no way of communicating with customers when their website is going live again!!!!!!! Does Homestead want to refund us for loss of business?? Hope they're all having a nice sleep. I'm dealing with customers.

Siobhan, I am sure that there is a fine print in the end-user license agreement about this scenario. So all we can do is wait for the Mighty Homestead Good Will...ohh and in the meantime we can read all of the useful comments from "themieleman".

There is a solution to this, I am mooving my sites (more than 10 sites) to another provider (server). It is more like creating new sites with the existing contents and domain. For creating the sites I use Serif webplus x8. It is working well so far. I suggest the same thing to do who have had enough of Homestead.

The monitor balzsam (http://aranyer.homestead.com) is back UP (HTTP 200 - OK) (It was down for 2 hours, 51 minutes and 31 seconds).

It is up, but loads estremely slow...if at all :(

It is a good free tool to monitor sites: http://uptimerobot.com

How about You Siobhan?

I'm back up - in the middle of messaging the customers/ updating social media. It's a bit embarrassing when your customers have to tell YOU your website is down as your provider can't be bothered to communicate with you.....

And thanks for the tip about Serif webplus. I've been a long time customer of Homestead, and for a long time wanted to move. I pay a lot of money to never be able to get in touch with anyone/ get useful help. In fact, I often just hope nothing goes wrong as it is just too hard to get assistance, so this morning has just been another thing to deal with from Homestead....

Thanks for the support-  it's more than Homestead offer!!! :)

Yes, it is time to move on.
The scary thing is, the monitor keeps going up and down in every few minutes now.

Great :(
Even when it is up, it takes 2 mins to load...I will speed up the moving process to the new servers. I just feel bad to the Customers who stays and relies on Homestead.

Got up this morning to messages from customers that our website has been down all night too. Our website is our lifeline to customers and repeated outages like this are unacceptable.

I completely agree. Mine is just up and down at the moment and has been for at least an hour now.
It's just so awful how little customer service is given for the money paid!!!

You look under system status, and it tells us nothing.  They really have no idea how to communicate with their customers.
