It's too time consuming to remove the copyright footer on every page of the site when you have a large website I would like to see an option that allows the user to "remove footer from all pages" in one step.

I can't even tell you how long it took for me to remove that footer from every page. It was not a good experience. I can think of a million better things to do than sit there and go through every page.

Dave, I couldn't agree with your more... I created an Idea topic so that Community members can voice their opinion and get noticed by the developers. Thanks for your comments!

Well, I'm spending the entire evening deleting Homestead's advertisement from all of my product detail pages and other secondary pages that I didn't get to yet. My main pages took 1/2 day and these should take another 1/2 day. I am supposed to be working on my site and promoting products for Father's Day, but forget that idea. I guess I will have to wait for the next holiday to make money! Also, let's not forget about the annoying "Do you want to share on Twitter, Facebook, etc." . I have to say "no" every single time that I publish a page. To add insult to injury, I found out that the thing doesn't even work anyway!

I kindly ask Intuit Developers to listen to the voice of customers.

WE WANT THE AD OUT !!!!

INTUIT IS EXPENSIVE ALREADY, compared to better competitors !!! so why still advertise through us !!!

Mike, what is being done about this issue?  It has been a year since this problem was posted!

Hi Pierre0338,

Most of the old templates and all of the new templates pllaced the footer with the default values.  The can be edited to some extent, or removed completely.  Strictly speaking, this is not a problem, but a design choice.  I agree with everyone that it would be nice to have this option, but unfortunately, at this time, there are no plans to change this particular item.  You will need to remove it from each page for the time being.

Thanks

Drew

Drew, thank you for all the help you have been. That being said and I am not clear on your role here, if you are a homestead rep, or another user, who happens to be an expert. But I see comments and complaints going back over two years regarding the Homestead footer. I have been a homestead user for over 20 years and I have seen a disturbing decline in the level of customer service and care. Speaking for myself, I don't feel like I am valued as a customer and from what I have read, I don't think I am alone in that feeling. I had the same issue with one of my sites, when 8 months ago, I was erroneously told that the Site builder desktop was no longer available and that I had to use the online editor. I was given the instructions on removing the footer using SBplus. So I removed them. Now that I have gone back to using the desktop version and just republished that same website, the footer is back. How do you remove the footer, using SB Desktop?

Intuit did very little to advance the products. 2 years ago Intuit sold Homestead. By terms of the sale much work needs to be done by certain times. Major platform changes are tough to get done and take time, especially with large companies.Until we get everything done, we are not in a position to handle enhancements. It is not practical to change the programming and platform simultaneously.

Just so you and future customers know, this can be done in Sitebuilder Plus, if you are using a master template page. You can go to the master page and disable the footer there. It will work on all pages that use the master template.

This is not only a problem. It is an UNETHICAL issue by Homestead. No one gave Homestead the right to default their copyright information on our webpages without asking permission. This is an issue that needs to be addressed immediately and not be talked around. Do something about it!

Agreed...this footer needs to be removed 100% from both SB Desktop and SB Plus. It should become a top priority as soon as this migration thing is completed.  This problem should have been resolved a long time ago.
