active page before index page appears

i want to create a page that boots up before entering the index page.

On Sitebuilder sites, the first page that displays is index. You can create this new page and name it index, and then have it proceed to the "true" homepage, which you could call home, or something else, but you can not have any other page but index being the first page displayed.

I think on any type of web page or server, if you don't specify a start page it adds ".index.html". If you want it to start on test.homestead.com/whatever.html, you'll have to include the "whatever". Simple if you're entering via an icon or link, or you can type in the full address.

Name your desired landing page: index.html
You can produce a menu with whatever names you want.
