The Chat room was great. With the nature of my site it helped a lot, and now I have to rely on third party free chat boxes i import with html, but they are never reliable and I have been through a few.

A silly one that I really liked was the hit counter. When I transferred my site earlier this year I lost the one I put in in 09 or 10, and there was no replacement because it had been removed. This didn't effect as much as the chat room but it was just something I personally miss.

I can't come up with others at the moment, these are just the two that happened over the last few years.

Generally, the hit counter is now considered an ugly blog on the page. Most people track traffic via the Site stats, or Google analytics.

I will pass on the chat room suggestion by forking this post into an idea, so the developers will see it. Sad, I would have though someone would have come up with a good one.

Thanks

I get the hit counter thing, its an outdated idea that doesn't matter. for me, and the nature of my site, which is campy at best and dated in some peoples eyes, I liked it. Plus being a non commercial site, I like dit purely for the sense of accomplishment.

Another feature that I couldn't get worked out, even after hours of tech support was my menu bar. I was informed if I wanted what I currently use for navigation I would have to build it with html. Which I did. I still don't know html (which is why i use homestead) and it took me literally days of hours to work out. In fact its the soul reason I had to rebuild my site, to attain the master page at the top of each page. The problem is, the master page although above, is technically int he background. So when you are on half the pages, the drop down menu portion that extends into the page will appear behind any graphics or anything else making it not click-able or not visible even. There is no way to fix this apparently, even with the multi-tier support and hours on the phone. If youd like to see it http://www.ultimaterpgfaceoff.com/

Pop out menus is a big request for Sitebuilder. We very much hope it gets done.

You are correct, the master page is always behind everything that is on individual pages. You either have to move things out of the way, or disable the master on the pages where it is a problem, but that does increase maintenance.

It sure does, I've learned to live with it for the time being, if they implement and inhouse one I am sure it would solve all the problems.

Hi Josh6062,

Something tells me that homestead is on the verge of some really great changes to SiteBuilder Plus. And I'll stick around as a Homestead customer because whenever those changes may come, I don't want to miss it! Like you, in the mean time I'll remain patient and make the best of the SiteBuilder options that are currently available #optimistic #nicethread
