New domain email address not receiving emails:permanent error

I set up a new email account for my domain.  The new email address is sam@samstevenslmft.com.  I'm able to send emails out and they are received fine, but emails sent to the new email address receive a "Delivery to the following recipients failed permanently.  Reason: Permanent Error."  This comes after multiple temporary failures.  I've tried two separate email accounts (both comcast).
