I am unable to delete emails, or move messages to the trash on my ipad/iphone, why?

This happens because the ios creates the account with a local trash can. It is not looking at the server trash can. Follow the steps below to fix this problem. 1) Click on settings

2) Click on Mail, Contacts, Calendars and then on the account you need to edit



3) Click on advanced



4) Click on Deleted Mailbox



5) Make sure there is a check to the right of the Trash that resides on the server.

6) To save the changes: Click the "Advanced" button on the top left. Click on "Account Info". Click "DONE" (do not click Cancel).
