emails being returned to sender

I'm having clients and potential clients tell me that for the last 2 weeks emails keep getting returned to them after they hit send. I've checked my email accounts and made sure they weren't full and even deleted every email and all in the trash folder, etc.. I'm still getting people tell me they have sent several emails which keep getting returned with error and then I receive one that does get through. I haven't changed anything in my settings and until now all has worked fine for many years.
