Email thru bigcommerce

I recently migrated to bigcommerce but am keeping my email through homestead. I had someone from support go into my email options in bigcommerce to point the email back to homestead. Server settings>DNS records>Mail servers and then added this under mx: mail handled by . It's been many hours and I cannot send or receive email which is essential in my work. When I send email to myself I get this message:all relevant MX records point to non-existent hosts. I really need my email up and running. This was the only thing that was changed, previously I was given different instructions on how to point the email back to me so I want to make sure this was the correct move to make and I just need to wait it out.
