txt record

A sender policy framework (SPF) record is a type of Domain Name Service (DNS) TXT record that identifies which mail servers are permitted to send email on behalf of your domain. The purpose of an SPF record is to detect and prevent spammers from sending messages with forged From addresses on your domain. If this is so, why do I receive the warning message, "

@ value will be v=spf1 a mx -all

Editing your @ TXT Record may adversely affect your email service by increasing the likelihood that email you send will be marked as spam by receiving services. Please verify that this action is desired before confirming."

after adding a new TXT record. Will this value adversely affect my email service?
