How do I rename my Domain name

None of replies around this subject is quite  my problem How do I change me domain name AND keep all the pages I currently have including the sub domains.I realize that I will have to pay for a new Domain title. When I have the new domain with existing info I will delete the current Domain name.Elizabeth replied to a similar quest of mine but at that point, I still needed to keep my current Domain name. Now I do not.
