I see points under my user name now - what are the for?

Ok so lately I have seen these points under my name (and everyone elses) I have something like 424 points with a yellow looking sun and I see Drew has over 124k with a silver sun and Gary has 50 with no sun

What the heck are these for and what do they mean??
