Email access down again

Our small business's email accounts are down again - third time in the three months that we have been customers. I'm trying to understand why I'm paying for this service when I can get a Gmail account for free. We run a medical therapy company and need our email to meet our patients and other medical professional needs.

This is unacceptable.

I understand that maintenance is sometimes required. If this is the case why are we not notified.
